Attraction summer lettuce is a variety bred for summer–autumn growing — suitable for both outdoor cultivation and autumn forcing. Forms a medium-large, slightly flattened, light green, well-closed head. Heat-tolerant, so it doesn't bolt easily in summer warmth — meaning fresh lettuce is possible during the hot months too.
Sowing and growing
Sowing time: May–July outdoors, or August–September for autumn growing. Spacing: 30×25 cm. Sowing depth: 0.5 cm. Water regularly during summer heat.
The heads are ready after a 6–8 week growing period. Typical uses: fresh summer salads, sandwiches, garnishes for grilled dishes. Attraction extends the home lettuce season right through the summer months when most other varieties bolt.
