The Aromafume oil burner Khamsa is a classic aroma diffuser through which you can bring your favourite essential oils into the air via water evaporation. The warm, soft aromatic cloud makes the living room, the bathroom or the massage space feel cosier and can turn aroma diffusion into a small ritual you return to in the evening.
The meaning of the Khamsa pattern
The Khamsa, also known as the Hand of Fatima or Hand of Miriam, is a traditional protective symbol from the Middle East and North Africa. You can bring this heritage into your home without placing a showy or overly ornate object on the shelf. The openwork design is restrained yet characterful and fits homes furnished with natural materials.
How to use the oil burner
The use is simple and you only need to follow a few steps. First, pour water into the upper copper dish, roughly to the rim. Then add 3-8 drops of essential oil according to your preference. Light the tealight and place it in the lower compartment of the burner. Within a few minutes the warmth of the tealight heats the water, and the essential oil spreads gently with the water vapour into the air. With this method you achieve a light, soft aromatic cloud that does not overpower the room.
Materials and build
The oil burner is made of iron and a wooden coaster keeps it stable on the surface. The upper oil reservoir is made of copper, which is a good heat conductor, so the water warms evenly. The total size is 9×8 cm, weight approximately 120 g, so you can easily place it on a coffee table, on top of a dresser or on a small tray in the bathroom. The cardboard box protects it during transport.
Maintenance and cleaning
After use, once the lamp has cooled completely, wipe out the remaining water and oil from the upper dish with a soft cloth. If oil residue sticks to the surface, rub the dish with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use strong detergents, as they can damage the metal surface. Handle the wooden coaster only with dry wiping, never submerge it in water. Regular cleaning protects the burner from the smell of burnt oil.
Safety during use
Never leave a lit tealight unattended. Keep the lamp away from children and pets and place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not move the lamp during use, as the metal parts and the hot water can cause burns. Always check that there is water in the dish: without water the essential oil can burn, producing a burnt smell and smoke.
