Benzoin – the warm vanilla scent
Benzoin resin is obtained from the bark of trees belonging to the Styrax genus, mainly in Southeast Asia. It was once used in Russian churches and Orthodox communities for its long-lasting, warm aroma. The Aromafume brick brings this character into your home: a soft, vanilla-woody scent that creates an intimate, secure atmosphere.
Why this scent is special
Many describe the benzoin scent as if you were sitting in a cosy reading chair on a winter evening. The vanilla-balsamic note is gentle, never overpowering. Aromatherapy traditions consider it healing and calming, and recommend it at the end of tiring days, when both body and soul long for rest.
How it releases its aroma
The brick does not burn. You place a tealight under a special Aromafume diffuser, and the warming brick slowly releases its aroma. One brick gives its scent for around 45-60 minutes. The box contains nine bricks, enough for many pleasant evenings. There is no smoke, no ash, and the scent is well tolerated even by those with sensitive airways.
Which occasions we recommend it for
The benzoin brick is especially suited to winter evenings, festive preparations or reading before sleep. Thanks to the vanilla base, many appreciate it in households with children, as the scent feels welcoming rather than intimidating. Combined with a small bathing ritual, it offers true renewal at the end of a hard day.
Storage and caution
Keep the bricks in a cool, dry place, away from children. Whenever the tealight is burning, please stay awake and nearby. The diffuser becomes hot, so do not touch it, and only put it away once it has fully cooled. Keep a safe distance from curtains and other flammable items.
