This deep black, lotus-shaped aroma stone diffuser scents a room without flame or electricity. The dark tone lends a restrained elegance that suits modern, pared-back interiors – and it is safe in places where a candle is out of the question: a child's room, bathroom, cupboard or car.
The lotus symbol
The lotus is a pure flower that rises from the mud above the water, a recurring motif in Eastern art. Tradition knows it as a symbol of purity and spiritual unfolding – an image of rising from the murk toward the light, made all the more striking by the black finish.
Construction and use
The diffuser consists of two ceramic parts: the high-fired base is oil- and water-proof, while the porous top readily absorbs the scent. Drop 3 to 4 drops of essential oil onto the top, which releases the aroma for days. Alternatively, pour an alcohol- or water-based fragrance liquid into the base (do not use essential oil for this). It comes without essential oils.
