This round dish is made of mango wood and measures 10 cm across and 2.5 cm high. Inside, a glossy lacquer finish covers a dark blue rim with tiny gold dots and a white centre with a fine gold line drawing. Aquarius appears as a large curling wave, with the phases of the Moon lined up beneath it. Around the drawing runs a ring of constellations drawn in dots and lines. A small hole in the middle of the wave holds an incense stick. As it is wood, the grain varies slightly from piece to piece, while the drawing is the same on each. Made in India; you receive one dish.
A wave for Aquarius
The written sign for Aquarius is two wavy lines, and this dish shows the sign as a wave too. Despite the watery name, astrology counts Aquarius among the air signs. The sign runs roughly from 20 January to 18 February.
Aquarians are said to be independent and to think things through in their own way. They tend to have plenty of friends, yet they hold on to their freedom.
For incense and for rings
Pushed into the hole, the stick stands upright and most of the ash falls into the dish. Never leave burning incense unattended, set the dish on a heat-proof surface and air the room afterwards. Incense sticks are not included, so you can choose a scent separately.
If you don't burn incense, the dish is still handy. On a bedside table it can hold the ring you take off at night, or the earrings you plan to wear again tomorrow.
A birthday gift for late January or February
If someone in your family or among your friends is an Aquarius, here is a small present that shows their own sign. You could give it together with a box of incense. The dish comes in all twelve zodiac signs, so other birthdays in the family are covered too.
