This hand tube instrument consists of seven precisely tuned tubes whose pitches form the pure harmonic overtone series of a 136.1 Hz fundamental. An overtone series is a set of partial tones that vibrate together whenever a natural tone sounds - our ears perceive them as a single, pleasantly full tone. This scale was not artificially constructed; it arises directly from the natural laws of vibration, which is why it sounds so pure and harmonious.
What does 136.1 Hz mean?
136.1 Hz is a frequency widely used in sound therapy, often called the Earth year tone or Om tone. In practice it means you hear a deep, calming, long-sustaining sound that suits relaxation, quiet moments and sound baths. No musical training is needed: strike the tubes one by one or in sequence with the included mallet and you will always get a consonant, pleasant result.
In sound baths and at home
If you offer sound baths, the manufacturer recommends combining these hand tubes with the Infinity Gongs tuned to 136 Hz and 204 Hz, as they share the same fundamental. The instrument is equally rewarding at home - for winding down in the evening, accompanying meditation, or handing out in group sessions for shared music-making.
Dimensions and accessories
The instrument measures 80 × 58 × 2.5 cm and weighs approximately 1.65 kg, so it is easy to carry and hold. A mallet is included. Made in Germany from carefully selected components for a long service life.
