A small, hand-carved angel figure in natural fluorite. The stone's soft purple, green and clear bands play gently in the light; the palm-sized form is at once ornament and personal symbol, a much-loved gift and a quiet companion on a shelf or desk.
Fluorite, the fact
Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF₂); its hardness is Mohs 4, a softer mineral worth protecting. In its pure form it is colourless, and the characteristic purple, green, yellow and blue shades come from embedded trace elements, often several colours within one stone. The word "fluorescence" even derives from it, as many fluorites glow under UV light.
The angel and tradition
Angel figures are symbols of care and protection; many keep them close as a quiet reminder of connection with their own guardian angel. The crystal tradition regards fluorite as a companion to focus and clear thinking, this is tradition, not medical fact, which complements the calm mood of the angel motif.
Placing and caring for it
The figure is about 3.8 cm; it looks well on a desk, shelf, or a cosy corner. As fluorite is relatively soft, protect it from hard knocks and scratches. It is carved from a natural mineral, so its colour and pattern are unique to each piece.
