Amethyst Tea Infuser with Raw Crystal

Brewing loose-leaf tea is about more than the drink itself: the aroma rising from the teapot, the warmth of the mug in your hands, the leaves slowly opening in hot water — it is a small ritual that benefits from beautiful tools. This comfortably weighted tea infuser combines a stainless steel strainer with a raw amethyst crystal dangling from a delicate chain. It is a practical accessory that elevates the daily pleasure of tea.

Material and craftsmanship

The mesh body is made from premium stainless steel with fine perforation that holds most loose-leaf teas back while letting the aromatic oils through. The steel does not corrode, does not flavour the liquid and will last for decades. The dangling charm is an uncut, raw amethyst crystal — a purple variety of quartz traditionally regarded as a stone of calm — its natural facets creating a beautiful contrast with the metallic sheen of the strainer.

About the crystal — amethyst

Amethyst is a purple variety of quartz (silicon dioxide), ranging in colour from pale lilac to deep violet. In its raw, uncut form it is especially beautiful: the natural crystal faces catch the light in subtle ways and every piece is unique. Since the stone is fixed to the outside of the strainer and never sits in the liquid, it keeps its colour and texture for years.

How to use it

Place dry leaves in the strainer — loose-leaf green, black, white, oolong, rooibos, herbal or fruit blends all work — close it, and hook the chain over the rim of your mug or teapot. Pour hot water so the strainer is at least partly submerged. Wait for the recommended steep time (typically 2-5 minutes) and lift the infuser out by the chain. The crystal charm remains outside the rim and never touches the hot drink.

Care and cleaning

Rinse the strainer immediately after use with lukewarm water so that wet leaves do not dry on. Once a week, wash it by hand in lukewarm, mildly soapy water. We do not recommend the dishwasher: the hot steam and strong detergents can damage the crystal and the chain finish. Dry thoroughly so that no moisture remains on the metal or the stone.

Who is it for?

For everyday loose-leaf tea drinkers who appreciate beautiful, long-lasting kitchen tools. An excellent small gift for tea lovers, colleagues, for Mother's Day, a holiday stocking filler, or as a thoughtful companion to a larger tea gift set. The crystal charm looks particularly at home in a tea-house-inspired nook or a cosy reading corner.
