The character of the jasmine fragrance
Jasmine is a light, slightly sweet floral fragrance that evokes a Mediterranean mood especially on warm evenings, when the flowers open between their leaves. Najel adds this delicate note to the olive and laurel oil-based liquid soap, so you can sense a southern garden atmosphere even on clean laundry. The liquid is translucent and pale yellow, and the fragrance is noticeable the moment you pick the bottle up.
Where it shows particularly well
Jasmine emerges especially nicely on cotton towels, bath sheets, light summer blouses, bed linen and pyjamas. After an evening shower the delicate scent of a clean sheet aids relaxation, and you may wake up feeling fresher in the morning. It is also a fine choice for washing bedding prepared for the guest room, as a pleasant floral fragrance welcomes your guests.
Dosing and machine washing
For a normally soiled five-kilogram load thirty to forty millilitres into the detergent drawer is enough. For a stronger appearance of the fragrance avoid vinegar in the rinse compartment, and select a longer rinse programme so that all soap residue is washed out. For heavier soiling put fifty millilitres into the drawer and raise the temperature to sixty degrees.
Hand-washing fine fabrics
Pour two tablespoons into a basin of lukewarm water, soak the garment for ten to fifteen minutes and rinse in cold water. It is also gentle on silk, lace and fine cotton blouses, as it contains no optical brighteners or heavy laundry boosters. Linen summer dresses also benefit, as the natural fibre breathes well after drying.
Storage and shelf life
Keep the canister in a cool dark place and use within eighteen months of opening. The natural jasmine fragrance may soften slightly over time, but the cleansing effect remains unchanged throughout. The canister handle is sturdy, so you do not risk dripping when pouring larger doses.
