What fragrance-free Aleppo laundry soap is
The fragrance-free version uses the same traditional olive and laurel oil base as the classic, only without any plant fragrance extract. You are left with the pure cleansing power of the plant soap, without any strong or perfumed note. The liquid has a translucent yellow tone and the bottle cap seals tightly so it does not drip in storage.
Who it suits best
We recommend it for families with infants, for eczema-prone or sensitive skin, for people with asthma and for allergy sufferers. After drying, washed laundry has a neutral, indistinct smell that is also friendly to babies and small pets. It is also a good choice for the laundry of elderly relatives you may be caring for at home if perfumed agents would irritate their skin.
Machine washing dosage
For a normally soiled five-kilogram load put thirty to forty millilitres into the detergent drawer. Wash whites at thirty degrees and you will not need a separate bleach: the natural cleansing action of laurel oil is often enough. For cotton baby blankets you can also select sixty degrees to ensure thorough disinfection.
Pre-wash stain treatment
For tougher stains rub a coffee-spoonful directly onto the spot, let it sit for five to ten minutes and then start the machine. It works best on blood and fruit stains while remaining gentle even on baby clothes. For oily stains first sprinkle a pinch of baby powder to absorb excess grease.
Storage and environmental impact
Keep the bottle in a cool dark place and use within eighteen months of opening. The formula breaks down quickly in nature and you can even safely release it into your own septic system, as it contains no phosphates or other persistent pollutants.
