What the amber and oud pairing brings
Amber has a warm, slightly sweet resinous character, while oud is a deeper woody fragrance classic to the scent culture of the eastern Mediterranean coast. Together they form a classic Eastern scent duo, which you will now sense on your washed laundry – not intrusively, but with delicacy. Where the fragrance shows best
It appears particularly nicely on bedding, towels, bath sheets and jumpers. Clean sheets create a distinctly soothing atmosphere in the evening, while oud's softer tone may help you wind down before sleep. Returning from holiday, freshly scented wardrobe clothes also make the homecoming warmer for you and your family.
Machine washing dosage
For a normally soiled five-kilogram load thirty to forty millilitres into the detergent drawer is enough. If you wish the fragrance to come through more strongly, avoid adding vinegar or neutral softener to the rinse compartment – this way clean clothes retain the full scent profile. For heavier soiling raise the dose to fifty millilitres and choose sixty degrees for cotton bedding.
Is it suitable for hand-washing
Yes, it suits delicate fabrics too. Pour two tablespoons into a basin of lukewarm water and soak the garment for ten to fifteen minutes. For silk and wool rinse afterwards in cold water and you will obtain a smooth, easy-to-handle fabric. Embroidered pieces can also be safely washed with it, provided they are not put into a tumble dryer afterwards.
Storage and good to know
Keep it in a cool dark place and use it within eighteen months of opening. The fragrance comes from natural raw materials, so a subtle shift of nuance over time is normal and does not signal quality loss. Do not leave the canister on a shelf exposed to direct sunlight.
