Alba marrow squash is a compact variety suitable even for small spaces. Early-ripening, bush-type, with only short vines — so it doesn't take up much room. A high-yielding home garden choice. The fruit is cylindrical, thick, with a firm rind and white flesh.

Growing

Sow directly in the garden in early May. Plant spacing 80 cm, row spacing 100 cm.

Pick marrow squash young, from July to August, when the skin is still slightly soft. Uses: marrow squash soup, főzelék (Hungarian creamed vegetable), stuffed marrow. A classic Hungarian summer dish.
