Sowing and growing

Sowing time: March in seed trays. Transplanting: May. Spacing: 60×50 cm. Determinate growth, no side-shoot removal needed. Light staking helps with the large fruits.

The 180–220 g fruits ripen in August. Excellent for fresh eating and salads — a single fruit gives 4–5 generous slices. Disease resistance makes Ace VF a stress-free choice for any home garden, even where verticillium or fusarium has been a problem in past seasons.
