A black plastic screw cap offers a simple, quick and practical closure — particularly useful for those who frequently open and close the bottle during filling or use. This pack of 88 50 ml bottles combines a green glass body with a black screw cap, offering a budget-friendly base pack for bottling essential oil blends, cosmetic oils and tinctures.
What is included in this pack of 88
The pack contains 88 50 ml green glass dropper bottles and 88 black plastic screw caps with inner seal liners. Each bottle is approximately 100 mm tall, 42 mm in diameter and weighs around 70 g net. Gross pack weight is around 6.78 kg. The neck is a standard GL18 thread.
Green glass and its light-filtering benefit
In addition to the UV range, green glass also partially filters out the shortest wavelengths of visible blue light — the very photons that trigger oxidation chain reactions in essential oils and botanical extracts. Green glass also gives the finished product an attractive appearance. The glass itself is chemically inert and does not release plasticisers into the contents.
Black screw cap details
The screw cap is made of black plastic (PP/PE) with an internal seal liner. It opens and closes in a single motion, making it ideal for rapid bottling workflows. For long-term storage and high-monoterpene essential oils, the plastic cap may soften over time — in that case it is worth decanting the contents into an aluminium- or CR-cap version for longer use. For short- and medium-term use, with cosmetic oils and hydrosols, it is entirely suitable.
Areas of use
- Rapid bottling of essential oil blends and trial batches
- Packaging cosmetic oils and massage oils
- Filling hydrosols and flower waters into dropper bottles
- Experimental bottles for artisan DIY projects
- Simple, cost-effective packaging for small-business own brands
Cleaning and recycling
Wash the empty bottle with warm water and a mild dish soap, then rinse with 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove residual scents. Avoid washing the plastic cap in a dishwasher, as high temperatures may deform it. The glass and cap can be separated and recycled separately. The glass body is endlessly remeltable.
