The quality of essential oils, botanical extracts, and aromatherapy preparations depends not only on the raw ingredients — the container matters just as much. Shorter wavelengths of visible light and UV radiation break down sensitive volatile compounds. This pack of 88 cobalt blue 50 ml dropper bottles is designed for those who regularly work with their own cosmetics or essential oil blends in meaningful quantities — for small artisan workshops, cosmetic formulators, and fragrance makers.
What is included in the 88-piece pack
The pack contains 88 cobalt blue glass dropper bottles of 50 ml each, every one fitted with a black pipette dropper (glass pipette and black rubber teat). Bottle height is approximately 100 mm, diameter approximately 42 mm, with a standard GL18 neck. The empty weight including cap is around 70 g per bottle, and the total gross weight of the pack is approximately 6.8 kg.
Cobalt blue glass and light protection
Cobalt blue glass filters a broader range of short-wavelength visible light than amber glass while still offering full UV protection. This is particularly important for sensitive preparations such as cold-pressed plant oils, active-ingredient serums, or citrus essential oils, all of which oxidise quickly when exposed to light. Glass is chemically inert: it releases no plasticisers, does not react with oily or alcoholic contents, and remains odour- and taste-neutral throughout the product's shelf life.
Black pipette dropper details
The pipette is made of glass with a plain, unmarked body and a black rubber teat at the top. Squeezing the teat draws liquid into the pipette and allows for drop-by-drop dispensing. The fitting matches a standard GL18 neck, making it compatible with every standard 50 ml bottle in this size class. The pipette can be removed and cleaned separately, and is replaceable.

Cleaning and reuse
Before first use, wash the bottles with warm water and a drop of mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly. Essential oil residue is best removed with isopropyl or food-grade alcohol — add a small amount, shake gently, and rinse out. Avoid the dishwasher, as high temperatures and dishwasher detergent can damage any labelling and the pipette assembly. With appropriate care, both the bottle and the pipette can be reused for many years.
