Light is one of the greatest enemies of essential oils and active ingredients. While amber glass filters most of the UV range, fully opaque black glass blocks virtually all visible light as well. 88 black glass dropper bottles, 50 ml each, supplied without caps. Height: ~100 mm, diameter: ~42 mm, empty weight: ~75 g per piece. Pack gross weight is approximately 7.26 kg. The bottles feature a standard GL18 neck thread, making them compatible with most black pipette droppers, aluminium caps, child-resistant closures, and screw caps available on the market. You choose the cap that best matches your application.
Black glass and full light blocking
Opaque black glass blocks essentially the entire visible light spectrum as well as the UV range. This additional level of protection is particularly justified for light-sensitive essential oils (citrus, eucalyptus, chamomile), cold-pressed botanical oils, and formulations containing vitamin C, retinol, or other active cosmetic ingredients. Glass is chemically inert: unlike plastic containers, it does not transfer plasticisers or other migratable substances to the contents.
Advantages of supplying without caps
The capless format offers flexibility: you can use the same bottles with different closures depending on your purpose. Cleaning and reuse
Before filling new bottles, wash them in warm water with washing-up liquid, rinse thoroughly, and let them dry completely. For previously used bottles, rinse with 70% isopropyl alcohol to remove residual scent. Avoid the dishwasher, as prolonged high temperatures and concentrated detergent can damage the glass. Black glass can be placed in standard glass recycling streams.
