Not every application requires a child-resistant cap or pipette dropper — often a simple, reliable screw cap is the most practical solution. This 88-piece pack contains 50 ml black glass bottles with black plastic screw caps, combining ease of handling with full light protection for small businesses and advanced DIY makers.
What is in the pack of 88
88 black glass bottles of 50 ml + 88 black plastic screw caps. Height: ~100 mm, diameter: ~42 mm, empty weight: ~75 g per piece. Pack gross weight is approximately 7.26 kg. The screw cap fits the standard GL18 neck thread, with an internal liner. Country of origin: China.
Black glass and full light blocking
Opaque black glass blocks essentially the entire light spectrum, including the UV range and almost all wavelengths of visible light. This is particularly important for light-sensitive contents: citrus essential oils, cold-pressed botanical oils (argan, jojoba), and facial serums containing vitamin C or retinol. Black glass is the most effective light protection solution in a 50 ml format.
Screw cap details
The black plastic (typically PP, polypropylene) screw cap is lightweight, robust, and chemically resistant. The outer surface is ribbed, making it easier to grip with wet or oily hands. The internal liner provides a leak-proof seal. The plastic cap is a compromise: prolonged contact with essential oils (particularly citrus, eucalyptus, tea tree) can over time discolour or damage it, so for long-term storage of tinctures and pure essential oils we recommend the aluminium cap, while this screw cap is more suitable for finished cosmetics, body oils, and diluted blends.
Areas of use
- Everyday bottling of finished facial serums and body oils
- Diluted essential oil blends (max 5-10% concentration)
- Storing hydrosols and floral waters
- Bottling natural perfume bases
- Selling hair oils and skincare blends
Cleaning and reuse
Before filling, wash in warm water with washing-up liquid, rinse thoroughly, and let dry completely. Do not put the plastic cap in the dishwasher — prolonged high temperatures can deform it and weaken the liner. To remove residual scent, 70% isopropyl alcohol can be used. Glass and the plastic cap can be placed in separate recycling streams.
