Long-term stability requires two things: glass that filters light, and a cap that seals airtight without reacting with the contents. This pack of 70 cobalt blue 100 ml dropper bottles is fitted with a solid aluminium cap — a complete solution for artisan cosmetic workshops, small fragrance brands, and cosmetic formulators who want reliable, long-lasting storage.
What is included in the 70-piece pack
The pack contains 70 cobalt blue glass dropper bottles of 100 ml each, every one fitted with a solid aluminium cap (with dropper insert). Bottle height is approximately 130 mm, diameter approximately 52 mm, with a standard GL18 neck. The weight per bottle with cap is around 120 g, and the total gross weight of the pack is approximately 9.24 kg. Each cap contains an orifice-reducer dropper insert that provides even drop-by-drop dispensing when the bottle is tilted.
Cobalt blue glass and light protection
Cobalt blue glass effectively filters UV radiation as well as the shorter (bluish-violet) wavelengths of visible light. These are exactly the wavelengths that most rapidly trigger oxidation in essential oils, plant oils, and vitamin concentrates. The cobalt colour is therefore a functional choice: preparations stored inside retain reliable quality for longer. The glass is also chemically inert and does not release plasticisers or other migratable substances.
Aluminium cap — airtight, corrosion-free closure
The aluminium cap is a solid metal closure with a dropper insert and a sealing ring on the inside. Aluminium is chemically inert: it does not react with essential oils, does not allow odours to permeate, and contains no BPA, phthalates, or other plasticisers. Essential oils — particularly citrus or high-monoterpene varieties — can over time soften or crack plastic caps; aluminium, by contrast, remains stable for years. The cap is easily recyclable, an important consideration for natural cosmetics makers.
Areas of use
- Long-term storage of essential oil blends and perfume bases
- Cold-pressed facial and body oils, active-ingredient serums
- Botanical tinctures, herbal extracts, hydrosols
- Massage oil formulations for cosmetic studios
- Bottling your own own-label natural cosmetic line
Cleaning and reuse
Rinse new bottles with warm soapy water and let them dry completely. Fragrance residue is most effectively removed with isopropyl or food-grade alcohol. Remove the cap from the bottle and clean it separately — the aluminium metal cap is hand-washable, but a dishwasher is not recommended (high temperatures and detergents can dull the surface over time). Both aluminium and glass are easily recyclable, but they are also long-lasting — refilling is well worth the effort.
