The cap-less version of the 300 ml clear pharmaceutical bottle is designed for small businesses and makers who use their own existing cap solution — or who plan to apply a different type of closure (cork stopper, wax seal, custom threaded cap, dropper attachment). The bottle on its own is the most flexible choice: the best price-to-value ratio and complete freedom in the style of the closure. This 40-piece pack is ideal for filling tinctures, hydrosols, decoctions, and cosmetic liquids in larger volumes.
What is included in the 40-piece pack
The pack contains 40 clear (water-clear) pharmaceutical bottles, WITHOUT cap. Each bottle has a nominal capacity of 300 ml, a height of approximately 200 mm, a diameter of 70 mm, and an empty weight of around 280 g per piece. The total gross weight of the pack is approximately 12.3 kg. The neck has a standard threaded design, so most common screw cap types (aluminium, plastic, pump) will fit — it is worth checking the neck dimension before ordering your own cap.
Characteristics of clear pharmaceutical glass
Clear apothecary glass is thicker-walled than ordinary cosmetic bottles, making it more stable and durable. As glass, it is chemically completely neutral: it does not react with stored tinctures, hydrosols, alcoholic extracts, or other liquid preparations, and does not leach plasticisers. Transparency is an advantage when the colour, sediment, or suspension character of the contents must be monitored continuously. Light-sensitive preparations should be stored in a dark place, in a cupboard with the bottles.
Why without a cap?
The cap-less format offers three main advantages. First: cost efficiency, if you already have your own cap stock or another procurement source. Second: freedom of style — cork stoppers, wax seals, decorative custom caps, or antique-look retro closures all work with the standard threaded neck or without it. Third: flexibility — you can use the same bottle for different contents and match the cap to the specific function (pump for lotion, screw cap for tincture, dropper for serum).
Areas of use
- Tincture and hydrosol packaging used with your own cap solution.
- Cork-stopper or wax-sealed premium decorative bottles for homemade preparations.
- Storing botanical decoctions and honey-syrup recipes in large batches.
- Private-label liquid cosmetic stock where a custom cap is planned.
- Experimental small batches where the cap type is not yet decided.
Cleaning and recycling
Before first use, rinsing the bottles with warm water and a neutral dish soap followed by thorough drying is recommended. For odour or oily residue, clean 70% ethanol or isopropyl alcohol is an effective solvent. Dishwasher use is tolerable for the bottle alone if there is no label on it, but hand washing is recommended for the longest service life. The glass is recyclable, so at end of life please collect it as separated waste.
