The childproof (CRC) cap is the most useful choice wherever you store concentrated essential oils, intensive active-ingredient serums or other preparations not intended for ingestion — particularly if there are young children in the household, or if the product is destined for retail sale. This 156-piece pack of 20 ml bottles makes home or display packaging safer thanks to the CR closure mechanism.
What this 156-piece pack contains
156 amber 20 ml glass dropper bottles + 156 childproof caps. The bottles are approximately 75 mm tall with a 30 mm diameter. The caps are made of polypropylene, with dimensions of approximately 2.1 × 1.2 cm. The neck uses a standard GL18 thread. The total package weight is approximately 0.47 kg.
Amber glass and UV protection
Amber glass plays a key role in storing sensitive oil-based and aqueous preparations: it filters out the shorter wavelengths of visible light and most of the UV spectrum, slowing the degradation of active ingredients. The CR cap and the amber glass together form two protective layers that are important both for safety and quality: the glass protects against light, the cap against accidental ingestion.
Childproof cap mechanism
The CR cap uses the classic press-and-turn mechanism: the top of the cap must be pressed downward and only then twisted. With this dual movement, young children typically cannot open the bottle, as their motor coordination is not yet developed to perform both motions simultaneously. For adults, the movement becomes routine after a few attempts. The internal standard liner under the cap provides a leak-proof seal.
Areas of use
- Storage of concentrated essential oils in family households
- Active-ingredient serums and cosmetic preparations
- Botanical tinctures and supplement-grade liquids
- Products intended for retail (CR-required)
- Display and sample bottles for fairs or shops
Cleaning and reuse
Wash the bottle in warm soapy water. Do not place the CR cap in the dishwasher, as heat and detergent can damage the plastic mechanism. If the ribbed outer surface of the cap wears down, it is worth replacing it. Glass and plastic are each recyclable when separated.
