Round aluminium jar with screw lid — 100 ml capacity
This round aluminium jar measures 82 mm in diameter and 28 mm in height, with a 100 ml capacity. That equals roughly 80–90 grams of creamy contents — a medium portion of face cream, body butter, or massage balm. Unlike the other sizes in the range, this jar has a screw lid rather than a slide-top.
Why a screw lid?
A screw lid closes more firmly and can be opened with one hand. Anyone who regularly carries body butter or massage balm knows that the round, flat shape fits comfortably in the palm, and the threaded lid opens in a single motion. Turn the lid to the right to close, to the left to open — the familiar direction.
Possible uses
- Face cream or eye-area treatment, homemade
- Body butter (shea butter, cocoa butter base)
- Hand cream or hand balm
- Massage balm, muscle-relaxing salve
- Hair pomade (for men, too)
How to fill it
Spoon or spatula warm, melted cream into the jar, leaving roughly 2–3 mm of free space below the lid. Wait until it fully solidifies before screwing the lid on — if the contents are too warm, condensation may form on the inside of the lid.
Cleaning and reuse
It washes easily with lukewarm water and dish soap. Once dry it can be refilled, since aluminium does not rust and does not transfer flavour or odour to the contents. Wiping the inside with alcohol before refilling is helpful, especially for cosmetic use.
Things to keep in mind
Long-term storage of strongly acidic or alkaline contents is not recommended. It is safe for neutral creams, balms, and waxes. The jar may also travel in carry-on luggage on flights, since the capacity is exactly 100 ml — within the limit.
