The pack contains 10 clear 500 ml PET plastic bottles, supplied without caps. They have 28 mm screw necks. The shape is simple, with rounded shoulders, and labels stick well to the sides. They are light when empty and will not shatter like glass if dropped. Made in China.
Half a litre, no closure
Choose this pack if you already have closures, such as 28 mm caps or pumps. If not, the same bottles also come in packs with flip-top caps or with trigger sprayers, and those include the closures. Half a litre holds a good amount of washing-up liquid or liquid soap, yet a bottle does not take up much room by the sink.
Decanting from a large container
If you buy washing-up liquid, liquid soap or fabric softener in large containers, you can pour your everyday amounts into these. Ten bottles are enough for the kitchen, the bathroom and the utility room, with some left over as spares. The big container can go in the pantry. A small funnel helps you avoid spills. Before you fill a bottle with a different liquid, wash it out with warm water and let it dry.
Heat, food and light
Do not fill them with hot liquid or wash them in the dishwasher, as PET can shrink in the heat. They are meant for lukewarm or cold liquids. Do not keep food or drink in them; the maker's details include no food approval. Being clear, they do not protect their contents from light, so for essential oil blends an amber bottle is the better choice. When you no longer need them, they go in the plastics recycling.
