The pack contains 10 clear 250 ml PET plastic bottles and 10 black flip-top caps, one for each bottle. Screw the 28 mm caps onto the necks and they are ready to use. With rounded shoulders and light plastic, the bottles will not shatter like glass if you drop one. Made in China.
The flip-top cap
You flick the top of the cap open with your thumb. Underneath is a small opening that you pour through, and then you simply snap it shut. There is nothing to unscrew, and it cannot roll under the sink the way a loose screw cap can. The cap stays on the bottle, so it never goes missing.
Shampoo, shower gel and hand soap
250 ml is about the size of a shower gel bottle. If you buy shampoo or shower gel in larger packs, decant what you keep by the shower, in the guest toilet or in the kitchen into these. With ten bottles there is room for conditioner and liquid soap too. Through the clear sides you can see when one needs refilling. Label them or mark them with a pen so you know which is which. A small funnel helps when filling them.
Cleaning and limits
Before the first use, rinse them with warm soapy water and let them dry. Do not fill them with hot liquid or put them in the dishwasher, as PET can shrink in the heat. The maker's details give no food approval, so do not keep food or drink in them. For contents that are sensitive to light, such as essential oil blends, an amber bottle is the better choice.
