The pack contains 10 clear PET plastic bottles, each holding 1000 ml, or one litre. These are the largest of our clear bottles. They have rounded shoulders and 28 mm screw necks, and come without caps. Made in China.
One litre, no caps
If you have 28 mm caps or pumps at home, you only need to screw them onto these bottles. If not, choose the one-litre pack with flip-top caps, which includes a cap for every bottle.
A reserve for the pantry
One litre is enough to keep a reserve, for example distilled water for the iron and for misting house plants, homemade fabric softener or diluted vinegar. With ten bottles each gets its own, and you can refill your smaller spray bottles from them. Through the clear sides you can see from across the room when a reserve is running low. Use a funnel when pouring, and write on each bottle what is in it. In the garden, too, you can mix a water-soluble plant feed in one before pouring it into the watering can. When full a bottle weighs about a kilo, so support it from underneath rather than lifting it by the neck.
Heat and light
PET can shrink in the heat, so do not fill them with hot liquid, and wash them by hand rather than in the dishwasher. Stand them upside down to dry faster. Do not keep food in them, as the maker's details mention no approval for this. Light passes through the sides, so keep them out of the sun and do not store light-sensitive blends in them for long.
