Origin and production
The oil is sourced from Australia, the native range of the Leptospermum genus. It is produced by steam distillation from fresh leaves. Water vapour carries the volatile aromatic compounds at a mild thermal load, so both the citral fraction and the tea-tree facets are preserved in the final product.
