What the 10-piece set contains
The package includes 10 identical 10 ml amber glass bottles, each filled with Jasminum officinale absolute at a 5% dilution in grapeseed oil. The dilution offers the extremely costly and intense pure jasmine absolute in a skin-friendly, ready-to-use form. The bottles arrive without labels, so you can apply your own branding. Net content is 10 ml per bottle and the total weight is approximately 0.41 kg.
Botany: Jasminum officinale and the dilution
Common jasmine (Jasminum officinale), also called winter jasmine, is a climbing-shrubby flowering plant in the Oleaceae family. It is native to the cooler, temperate-subtropical regions of the Caucasus, northern India and south-western China, so it grows in cooler climates than its tropical relative Jasminum grandiflorum. The flowers of J. officinale are also used for essential-oil extraction, producing a fine, fresh-floral absolute. Pure jasmine absolute is produced by solvent extraction (not steam distillation) and is one of the most expensive aromatic materials in the world. The 5% dilution offered here is a skin-friendly concentration.
Origin and production
The jasmine absolute is sourced from India, from traditional jasmine-growing regions. Extraction is carried out by solvent extraction from flowers picked fresh before dawn; the resulting concrete is treated with alcohol to obtain the final absolute. The grapeseed oil dilution is prepared in a controlled environment to ensure accurate 5% concentration. Grapeseed oil is a light, fast-absorbing carrier with a neutral scent.
Applications
- Private-label cosmetics: sensual body oil, facial serum, nail care oil — ready to use
- Aromatherapy: in diffuser blends (small quantity), in calming and sensual compositions
- Soap and candle making: a floral note in soap and scented candles
- Perfumery: heart note in floral, sensual and Indian-inspired compositions
- Gift packaging: small-batch resale with custom labelling
Storage and shelf life
Store the oil in a cool, dark place, preferably below 25 °C, in a tightly closed bottle. Due to the grapeseed carrier, shelf life follows the stability of grapeseed oil: about 1-2 years unopened. Once opened, it is advisable to use the content within 6-12 months, as grapeseed oil is relatively susceptible to oxidation. Cool, light-protected storage preserves the profile longer.
