10 ml Benzoin Essential Oil (Dilute/Dpg)
“Dilute/Dpg” means this benzoin essential oil is diluted in dipropylene glycol (DPG). It is made from the resin of the benzoin tree (Styrax benzoin) by solvent extraction; on its own the extract is very thick and sticky, so it is diluted to make it easy to use drop by drop. The 10 ml size is a good choice if you are just getting to know its scent or use it only occasionally.
A sweet, vanilla-like resin scent
Its scent is sweet, warm and long-lasting. Benzoin has long been used in incense and perfumery, and it makes a good base for your own fragrance blends, for example alongside orange, sandalwood or rose.
For scenting, not for direct skin use
In an oil burner, put a little water in the bowl and add 3–5 drops. Do not apply it directly to the skin; if you add it to a skincare product, use only a small amount and do a patch test first. Keep away from the eyes and out of reach of children, and store it tightly closed in a cool, dark place.
