Amber glass and UV protection
Amber glass filters out the shorter wavelengths of visible light as well as the ultraviolet range. These wavelengths initiate the oxidation processes in essential oils and botanical extracts most rapidly. Stored in amber glass, the scent profile and active ingredient content of a preparation remain stable for considerably longer. Glass is chemically inert: it does not react with essential oils and does not migrate plasticisers or other substances into the contents.
Why supplied without a cap
The point of the no-cap format is flexibility. The same bottle accepts an aluminium screw cap, a black pipette dropper, a childproof closure or a tamper-evident dropper cap. You can pair each recipe with the closure that suits the application and the customer base, without paying for caps you will not use.

Cleaning and reuse
